From the street, it all looks fine.

Inside, a stain. Painted over.

Your phone buzzes. Your maintenance guy again.

He opens the wall. A slow leak, months old.

The problem

Another call. Another bill.

You have a team, but you still own it all. Each person is responsible for a piece. But no one's watching behind the walls.

So your bills keep climbing.

Ever asked yourself this?

How do I manage my building without surprise repair bills?

Who I am

For 9 years, the buildings behind Apple's retail stores were my responsibility.

Jon Weiskopf
Jon Weiskopf, PE

Before I taught owners, Apple trusted me with its largest product. For nine years I led engineering for Apple's global retail portfolio: the standards and designs behind 300+ stores in 20+ countries. Before that, I spent 11 years engineering buildings across New York, learning from some of the world's best tradesmen. I've designed high-rises, combined heat and power plants, solar, museums, schools and offices. You name it, I've been there. I even served on New York City's Building Resiliency Task Force after Superstorm Sandy, helping rewrite the building codes for resiliency. I own real estate too: residential, multifamily and assisted living. Now I teach owners to protect theirs the way I protect mine.

Know

Do
Prove

Your building's record.

Know reads it, Prove writes it.

Like a car with its service history, a building with its records holds its value.

  1. Know. What do I own, and what shape is it in?

Protects you: you find a problem while it's still a price, not a loss.

  2. Plan. What can't fail, and where does my time go?

Saves you money: it goes first to what breaks or hurts first.

  3. Do. Is the work getting done right, by the right people?

Saves you money: the more planned the maintenance, the fewer work orders.

  4. Prove. Can I show what was done, and what it was worth?

Makes you money: a building you can document sells as the better one.

The building.

15 system families, from the roof to the boiler. Every step reaches down into it.

Do this, and own the most valuable building on your street.
